Course Project: protect your personal information of your resume
Recently, I am trying to find a full time job in America. But I found the system they used really suck. - some people shared the profile said they are HR in some company with a email address like Gmail or other mail. And he can get tons of resume with your address, phone number.
- For the work authentication, every time you apply for the job you need to sign. And check whether you are disability and protected veteran.
so, why not we create a format can sync with the most of systems of the companies.
Goal: 1. Authenticate the employers. The platform will give the authenticate valid right to get the limited information of employee. 2. mark the sensitivity information. Let’s say, for the first interviews, they do not need the address and other information. 3. sync with the profile system. Designed a specific format of document. all items can be marked and program.
4. digit signature.Let's say, if you have sign the information like disability and veteran. Authenticated employers can request this encrypted information and sync with their profile.
when I write here, I realize this could be a small business for start-up company. But I cannot make sure if someone had done something like this.
Evaluation:
- authentication process with a demo.
- digital process with a quick demo.
- sensitivity control model.
- demo for the whole process.
Course Project Idea2: watch out your phone, it may automat connect to a phishing Wi-Fi
A research project: we try to deploy a Wi-Fi hot spot in some areas like university, parks, airport. We name the Wi-Fi to “CMU-Welcome”, “PIT-airport” “PNC-PARK”.
we force on two things:
analysis the types of phones will connect to this Wi-Fi. android? apple?
generate report1.
try to get the information as much as we can. (maybe this is illegal, perhaps we need to do some paper works.)
mark the sensitive information we can get during the hack. generate report2.
Evaluation: report1 && report 2. Manual book.
